Time To Get Your Sexy On

“If you want my body and you think I’m sexy, come on sugar, tell me so…” Remember that tune from the late 70’s?

Well, my fine feathered friend, “sexy” is one of the keys to selling a whole bunch of your product or service, and no, I’m not talking about the way you look.

There are three main ways to add “sexy” to your sales presentations:

1. Use pictures of beautiful women in your Keynote or PowerPoint slides. My presentations are laced with this. For example, I have one killer slide where I’m talking about a membership group that only people who buy can access. The image is of a beautiful woman blocking a mysterious-looking door.

2. Making your product or service seem sexy and cool. This is important, especially if you’re selling something that isn’t inherently that way. People like to buy whatever’s new. “New” is sexy. If you’re product or service isn’t it, you need to spin it so it appears to be on the cutting edge OR come right out and say it isn’t sexy, it isn’t new, and “if that is what you want, then this isn’t for you. But if you’re looking for something that works and will get you the desired results, then…” I just gave you a mini-masterclass in positioning, kemosabe.

3. Add a “sexy” component or bonus to your offer. One of the hottest-selling products I created and sold for GKIC included the promise of the buyer writing their book. This is something that people in our target market desire. Couple that with explaining why having your book is so powerful, and, ba-boom, you’ve added sexy to your offer.

So, how can you get your sexy on?
