I’m going to rant a little bit about something that 1) is still being taught by sales trainers 2) is costing you pain and frustration.
The “wisdom” is this:
Selling is a numbers game.
What a crock.
Making a lot sales calls or doing a lot presentations where you are getting a lot of “nos” is a horrible way to live. Why would anyone want to subject themselves to that?
The “numbers game” thing goes along with “make more cold calls.” Cold calling sucks. It’s miserable and unnecessary, yet that’s still what’s being taught by the gurus.
It’s only a “numbers game” if you don’t attract the right prospects and know how to close the sale.

I recently did a small group training for only five people. But, these people were highly-qualified having paid 10K each to be there. Four out of the five joined a $12,000 per person coaching group while at the training.
I guarantee you I would not have gotten those results with tens time the amount of freebie seekers in the room.
It’s NOT a numbers game except for the low level salesperson. It’s do a better job at prospecting and presenting to the high-powered business pro. (Is that you?)
