Last week I went to see the movie The Conjuring 2. It wasn’t great but it was fun and being the horror movie aficionado that I am, it was a ‘must see.’
The film was about a haunted house and a little girl possessed by an evil spirit. Original, eh? Paranormal investigators are brought in to save the day.
But, alas, I’m not here to talk about haunted houses but rather to talk about you, me and all our fellow entrepreneurs about the demons that live inside of us.
We’ve chosen a path that is fraught with peril. Yes, it can be exhilarating and often is, but our journey forces us to confront the dark forces inside of us. These dark forces include:
- Fear of failure
- Fear of rejection
The truth is that one or more of these demons is what is holding us back from getting from where we are to where we want to be, right now.
The other truth is, we need to stay vigilant and cleanse ourselves of these dark forces on a regular basis. They are always lurking, waiting to haunt us once more.
There are many books, courses and seminars that can help in this battle between good against evil. There are good coaches and therapists who can help be our “exorcists.”
But there there three-steps you can do today keep these dark forces at bay:
- Reconnect with the powerful reasons why you are doing what you’re doing. Feel these reasons. Connect with them and let them wash over you.
- Go over all of your past successes and feel tremendous gratitude for all that you’ve accomplished and have in your life right now. Remember, the starting point of receiving more is to be grateful for what you already have.
- Set a new goal and take immediate action towards it attainment or take action on one of your current goals or dreams today.
Do these three things today and your demons won’t know what hit ’em.
